Why we built Roavi
Most travel platforms sell you a tour, a room, or a ride. None of them solve the thing travelers actually want: to experience a city like someone who lives there.
The best travel moments we ever had came from a friend of a friend — someone who took us to the restaurant that isn't in the guidebook, who walked us through the neighborhood, who told us which streets to avoid after dark.
The problem is that most travelers don't have that friend. So they follow the guidebook, eat at the tourist trap, and leave feeling like they saw the city but never felt it.
