Summary

(Not a substitute for the full Terms): Roavi is a discovery and in-app messaging platform that helps users find Local Friends and independently hosted Activities. Roavi is not a tour operator, not a travel agency, not a dating/escort service, and does not process payments between users.

Users arrange details directly (including meeting logistics and any off-platform payments). Use the Platform at your own risk and follow the Safety Center.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Roavi Inc. ("Roavi," "we," "us," "our") and govern your access to and use of Roavi's website, apps, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge you have read our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Safety Center. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These Terms are an electronic contract. You consent to receive communications from Roavi electronically, including notices, disclosures, and updates. We may provide notices by email, in-app notification, or by posting them on the Platform, as permitted by law.

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Platform.
  • You may not use the Platform if you have been suspended or removed by Roavi.
  • You represent that your use of the Platform complies with applicable laws and regulations.
"Local Friend"means an independent user who creates a profile offering platonic companionship and local guidance.
"Host"means any user who posts an Activity listing (including Local Friends who post Activities).
"Traveler"means any user who browses, contacts, or meets Local Friends/Hosts.
"Activity"means an independently posted listing, plan, meet-up, or experience shared on Roavi.
"Content"means all text, photos, videos, listings, messages, reviews, and other materials on the Platform.

Roavi provides a platform to discover profiles and activities and to communicate using in-app messaging. Roavi does not supervise, direct, or control user interactions.

Not a tour operator

Roavi does not provide tours, transportation, or travel agency services.

No user-to-user payments

Roavi does not process payments between Travelers and Local Friends/Hosts.

Independent providers

Local Friends/Hosts are independent and not employees, agents, or partners of Roavi.

Strictly platonic

Roavi is intended for platonic companionship and local discovery—not dating, escorting, or sexual services.

  • You are responsible for all activity on your account and for safeguarding your credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account up to date.
  • You must not share your account, sell it, or transfer it without our written permission.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect users or enforce these Terms.

Roavi provides in-app messaging to help users communicate. You agree not to use messaging to harass, threaten, stalk, spam, solicit illegal services, or share prohibited content.

Roavi may access, preserve, or review messages only when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or to investigate reports and enforce these Terms and related policies, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Local Friends and Hosts control their own profiles, activities, pricing (if any), availability, and how they interact with others. You are solely responsible for your listings, representations, and conduct.

Accuracy:You must provide truthful information and avoid misleading claims.
Compliance:You are responsible for any licenses, permits, taxes, and legal requirements that apply to you.
Safety:You must not create Activities that encourage dangerous, unlawful, or exploitative behavior.
No prohibited services:You may not offer or solicit sexual services, escorting, or illegal goods/services.

Roavi may offer verification features (e.g., a "Verified Badge"). Verification helps reduce fraud risk but does not guarantee a user's behavior, suitability, or safety. You must not claim to be verified unless Roavi confirms it in your account.

We may revoke verification at any time if we believe it was obtained through misrepresentation or if required for user safety or policy enforcement.

Roavi may offer optional paid features (for example, verification subscriptions or business/host listing plans). Any prices, renewal terms, and benefits will be shown at checkout or in the feature description.

  • Platform fees only: Fees paid to Roavi relate to Platform features and are separate from any money exchanged between users.
  • Auto-renewal: If a subscription auto-renews, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
  • Refunds: Refund rules (if any) will be stated at purchase; otherwise, fees are non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
  • Taxes: You are responsible for applicable taxes related to your purchases or use of the Platform.

You acknowledge that meeting people and attending activities involves inherent risk. Roavi does not conduct comprehensive background checks and does not guarantee the identity, conduct, or intentions of users.

  • Meet in public places first and share your plans with someone you trust.
  • Do not send money or valuables to strangers.
  • Use in-app tools to report suspicious behavior.
  • For emergencies, contact local authorities immediately.

You agree not to:

  • Request, offer, promote, or facilitate sexual services, escorting, or illegal activity.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, dox, or discriminate against anyone.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or credentials.
  • Post deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading listings, pricing, or claims.
  • Send spam or unsolicited promotions, or run scams.
  • Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access, scraping, or automated abuse of the Platform.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights or privacy/publicity rights.

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content on Roavi, you grant Roavi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, display, and create technical adaptations of your content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Platform (for example, displaying your profile or Activity listing in search results).

You represent that you have all rights necessary to post your content and grant this license.

The Platform, including its design, software, trademarks, and branding, is owned by Roavi or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or exploit any part of the Platform except as permitted by these Terms or by written permission from Roavi.

Roavi respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Roavi infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to:

Your notice should include: identification of the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and location, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for users, or used the Platform unlawfully. You may stop using the Platform at any time.

Termination may result in loss of access to your account, content, or messages, subject to our legal obligations and data retention practices.

Important Notice

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROAVI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

ROAVI DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE IDENTITY, CONDUCT, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY USER OR ANY ACTIVITY. YOU USE THE PLATFORM AND INTERACT WITH USERS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROAVI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROAVI'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ROAVI (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Roavi and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your interactions with other users; (c) your content; or (d) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

The Platform may contain links to third-party services (e.g., maps, social platforms, external websites). Roavi does not control those services and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where prohibited by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
