Professional guiding, leading paying tourists as a guide, is regulated under the Tourism Business and Guide Act and needs a licence. Roavi is not that: you aren't selling a tour with a fixed programme, you're spending your time with a visitor as someone who lives here. If you want to work as a professional guide, get the licence.
Guiding is one of the occupations reserved for Thai nationals, and any foreigner earning income in Thailand needs a work permit. This page is written for Thais. If you are not Thai, get proper advice about your own position before taking paid work of any kind.
No. Roavi doesn't employ Local Friends or assign work. It's a platform that connects you with travellers; what you arrange with them is between you and them.
Enough to agree a meeting time and answer simple questions. Many visitors to Thailand don't speak English as a first language either, so slow, simple English often works better than fluent English.

No — and that is the point. A Local Friend is not a tour guide: you spend time with someone as yourself, you do not run a tour. Professional guiding is a licensed profession in a number of countries; spending an afternoon with someone is not. And if you do hold a guiding licence, put it on your profile — travellers look for it.
