San Diego has a social structure most cities do not: a very large part of its population is here on a posting.

Military and contractor families arrive for two or three years, know nobody, build something, and leave. The next lot arrive behind them. It happens continuously and everyone in the city is aware of it.

Crossing to Tijuana is its own category and worth mentioning on a profile if you are comfortable with it. Visitors and new arrivals are frequently nervous about it and frequently want to go; somebody who has done it a hundred times is exactly what they are looking for. The one thing to keep separate

Anything on the water for hire -- a charter, a dive trip, a fishing boat -- is a licensed trade with its own requirements. Going to the beach together is not. Keep to the second and there is nothing to obtain.

Season and rates

There is barely a slow season; the weather removes the usual reason. May Gray and June Gloom are overcast and it changes very little.
